Declutter: Containers within Containers

You know that junk drawer/box you always have within a space or a room?

This junk drawers can be easily organised by dividing the space with smaller containers.

Dividing a space is a beauty, I previously did this on larger spaces in my room and also my drawer which - from time to time - gets messy (I did it again!).

Having smaller containers within a box or larger container may sound like they take up additional space in the already messy container, yet having these smaller containers allows you to do is the split spaces neatly. This enables you to create more visibility to see your items inside the large container.

It's like creating a folder within a folder on your computer - it makes finding that particular item easy.

Plus, it takes almost no effort. Maybe just some capital outlay to get these smaller containers - they are really quite inexpensive.

Here's how to do it:
  1. Get a few smaller containers that fit within the larger container - I would suggest a boring plain white/transparent colour.
  2. Put them into these larger containers.
  3. Categorise these smaller containers Put items into the smaller containers.
Here are some examples I've done:

Container 1:
Before
After

Container 2:
Before
 After

You can also do it in bigger spaces like your drawers and tables:

Drawer:
Before
After

Desk:
Before
After
(I know it looks like I added an additional item here but I really needed something to hold my paper now that working from home is a thing)

Have fun!
